Hi,

My wife came to the US on a student dependent F2 visa and last year she got her H1 through a software consultant. She has an F2 visa still stamped in her passport and her i-94 will not expeire in next 2 years. Now for some personal reasons, we wanted to switch back to F2. I was advised by somebody that, if we travel outside US to canada and then re-enter, she could get back to F2 visa and get the new I-94 at the border. We plan to tarvel by car. Please let me know whether there is any legal comlications regarding this.

thanks,

No clue ! check with lawyer. But you don't need to travel to canada to change status. Talk your International Advisior in your school.
