Moved from Atlanta to Louisiana. Applied for 3rd EAD before the move. Waiting for the EAD cards to be sent to Atlanta address and THEN change the address. Is it ok? Can I change my address with INS after 2 months of the move? I dont want to change the address now and haved my new EAD cards lost or sent back.
Advice please.!

hmmm

whats the big deal anyway? its not like they update their record immediately! last time it took me 1 AR 11 form, several calls afrerwards to get my address corrected.
What is the 10 days deal? 10 days from when? How do you proof it? RIDICULOUS!!!

Please change the address as soon you actually do it. Infact changing address may open your file for 485.

Hope you have filled AR11 as well.

changing address is easy. call 800 number and inform them on phone.

INS related papers do not get redirected to the new address and infact return back to them. You do not want any complication like this.

LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR...and New Tenants

File a AR11 and befriend the new tenants moving into your old apt. Give them your new address...better still give them a self addressed stamped envelope , so that they can mail you any important stuff free of cost to them.

Also, It would be better to leave your name printed on the mailbox along with the new tenants. Sometimes, those honest hard working postal employees do not deliver if the names don't appear on the mailbox...
 
that is true

in my case a friend used my address for vehicle registration and the post office wouldnot deliver the mail. inspite of vehicle dept sending it thrice they send it back. i am not to sure how but they ddnot deliver his mail to my address:rolleyes:
