Change of Lawyer

My wife's H1 ext is filed in April '02 by her companies lawyer. It is not approver yet. In between then and now the relations between her company and the lawyer went sour. So the company found out a new lawyer. Is it possible to inform INS about this change and can the company ask INS to send any further communication to the new lawyer? The company is expecting an RFE on case because of incorrect information provided in the application of extension. That's why we want INS to send the RFE to the new lawyer. The old lawyer refuses to talk because he has not got the money from the company and the company won't pay because he made a lot of mistakes in other applications too.

Please help.
 
Sure. The new attorney needs to file form G-28 and follow up to ensure that correspondance is sent to the new attorney.

The attorney should know how to do all of this. It's not hard but you do need to follow up and make sure that INS receives and processes the changes.
