change of job during 485

Hi,

I changed my job during 485 process and it is more then 485 days since i applied. My lawyer says no need to inform INS about job change. He is saying if INS issues RFE we will reply that time. I am worried about this, since i have seen many people informing INS about job change.

Is there any person who didn't inform INS about job change. If anybody has informed about job change to INS by themselves, what is the letter and it's content. Is there any form to fill in for this.

It is not necessary to inform BCIS about job change. I have seen many approvals without even getting a RFE.

I would say, just follow your lawyer's instructions

1. No need to fill any form.
2. Look at the second thread in this forum (Dedicated Links : by pingpong02) for AC21 letter.
3. Better not to inform. Majority of people (i would say > 75%) followed this route, based on the postngs here.

Did you change your job after 180 days of filing I-485 ? The new memo seems to prohibit starting a new job before the 180 days is over.
