Change of center

I will move to Colorado from Georgia soon. My I-485 (ND 8/01) is still pending at TSC. No FP. I understand that my case could be transfered to NSC after the address change and it could cause delay or missing files. Considering how slow is TSC compared to other center, is this address change a good thing to happen? Your opinions and comments are appreciated. Luis

will transfer to NSC or Local INS

I heard that when change of address (and change of center), case will be forwarded to local INS for FP, interviewing...
I don\'t think it will be transfered to NSC unless you start a new filing at NSC after your move.

New Service Center, New Address?

Hi, All:

I submitted my I-485 to NSC six (6) months ago by using a friend\'s permanent home address. I also used an attorney for my I-485. I will move to a state under TSC very soon. Do I need to tell NSC about my address change? What is the purpose to tell INS about your address change? Thanks

The case never gets transferred to local center for FP

FP works in a different way. TSC system handling FP cases will send a request to NSC (since u r at Colorado) and NSC FP system checks if the local INS office, where you need to get your FP done, has any available slots for FP. If that is the case NSC issues you an FP notice. Your case gets transferred to local INS center or NSC only in very rare cases. Most of the times, your case getting transferred to local INS office has nothing to do with your address change. I have been a long time visitor to this site and I haven\'t seen any cases like that. I can say all this so strongly as I am also from Atlanta who applied at VSC. Hope this helps.

will they transfer you to local INS for stamping?

In this two year old case, FP is already done and no any problem with it. Now just waiting for final approval notice. If we notice them the change of address before they approve it and before they send out the approval notice, will they transfer us to the new local INS (new center area) for stamping? or still tell us to go to the old local INS for stamping and just send the notice to the new address? or any else?

Thanks
