This morning I called BCIS to check if my AR11 was received by them, but surprisingly found I also need to change address for my pending 485 and 131 as well. Looks like filing AR11 is not equivalent to change of address for any pending applications.
First time I call, a lady picked up the phone. After my address was changed, I asked her if she could change address for my wife, she politely and firmly said "no", unless my wife was with me.
Two hour later, I called again, this time change address for I-131. The same lady got my call. This time she asked for receipt date! I told her I don't have date, because I didn't receive the receipt. I only have receipt number, which my lawyer told me in email. Then she said I hang up and call up my lawyer to find it out.
So I hang up and found it out, and call BCIS the 3rd time. This time a man picked up the call. Surprisingly he didn't ask receipt date, instead, he just READ IT OUT to me
He told me it was ok to just have receipt number and A number. And he told me I could get a confirmation notice in 4 weeks.
The first time I called, I asked that lady if I could also check my case status, she went on to check it out, 2-3 seconds later she told me it's impossible because processing time is 21 months, so I have to call back after the first week of Oct. is over.
