change of address

This morning I called BCIS to check if my AR11 was received by them, but surprisingly found I also need to change address for my pending 485 and 131 as well. Looks like filing AR11 is not equivalent to change of address for any pending applications.

First time I call, a lady picked up the phone. After my address was changed, I asked her if she could change address for my wife, she politely and firmly said "no", unless my wife was with me.

Two hour later, I called again, this time change address for I-131. The same lady got my call. This time she asked for receipt date! I told her I don't have date, because I didn't receive the receipt. I only have receipt number, which my lawyer told me in email. Then she said I hang up and call up my lawyer to find it out.

So I hang up and found it out, and call BCIS the 3rd time. This time a man picked up the call. Surprisingly he didn't ask receipt date, instead, he just READ IT OUT to me :) He told me it was ok to just have receipt number and A number. And he told me I could get a confirmation notice in 4 weeks.

The first time I called, I asked that lady if I could also check my case status, she went on to check it out, 2-3 seconds later she told me it's impossible because processing time is 21 months, so I have to call back after the first week of Oct. is over.
