Hello,

I just submitted my N-400 a couple of days ago and after browsing through the threads on this forum, I realized that I forgot to submit changes of address to USCIS. I moved 3 times since I become a permanent resident. Is this going to affect the outcome of my N-400 application? Can somebody offer some advice on what is the best way to proceed?

Thank you!

Hi Fushy,

it's been a long time since I dealt with this form, but before I try to answer your question, let me ask you about what you entered in the field 6A? Did you enter the dates of your current residence only or? Z

I dont think that can affect your naturalization process, just inform IO at the interview with correct information.

Hi Zee Zee,

Just to be clear, the form N-400 was completed truthfully: I entered all my prior and current addresses along with the dates between which I lived at each of the addresses. In fact, I also included some of the renting contracts I had from prior addresses to show common residence with my husband during the 3 years I've been a permanent resident (GC was through marriage to US citizen).

Labrea: what I forgot to do was to notify USCIS of the changes of address within 10 days from each move. I had moved 3 times in 3 years basically, due to jobs.

Thanks!

I didnt know that we had to inform address changes to USCIS :).
I did not inform all 4 changes to USCIS and just got naturalization certificate yesterday.

Hi again,

I didn't understand at first what the issue is :) Anyhow, I've never informed USCIS about my change of address either (just DMV) and I didn't have any problems. You'll be ok Fushy. Thanks and good luck :)
