??Change of address ramifications

Hi friends,

I have a Q about change of address while 140 and 485 is under process.

Here is my situation:
1. Has been working in North Carolina(NC) with a company
headquartered in Minnesota(MN).
2. Labor filed/approved from Minnesota and Chicago
(regional).
3. Filed concurrent 140/485 in June'2004 at TSC.
4. Got EAD/AP approved in July/Aug '04.
5. Received FP notice(appt date 7-Dec-04) for my wife,
waiting for mine.
6. Client closed its site in NC and are moving to Indiana
(IN) by Dec end.

I have 2 options: either move to IN or stay here in NC and work from home.

Considering that IN comes under NSC whereas NC comes under TSC, so is it OK for me to move to IN?
(Ofcourse I would submit "change of address" to INS).

Are there any repercussions with this move?

PS. Throughout this move I will remain with the same company that is processing the GC.

any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks,
sant

I think you should be fine.

I think you should be fine either way given the fact that you are working for the same company.

If you decide to move, to be on the safe side, wait until december to move. Since your will complete 180 days in December and that is when they close the office in NC. I think it will be safer to stay in NC until you 180days are complete. (After that you could even change employer so why not location?)

Thanks comp.

since you have mentioned Charlotte (as FP location) in your message signature and my wife needs to go there for her FP, I am tempted to ask you: is there a big queue up there and what is a good time to be there.

Thanks again

Charlotte FP is cool. No line atal any time, any day. I went during the lunch hour. You can also get an early FP, you don't need to wait till your date.
