change of address question

I'm going to move before i go to my interview, should i file change of address right now? I fear that it may complicate things. Dang, does that mean i should also update my selective service registration card? I don't want them to look at me weird when i have a different address on my interview notice.

One more question, if i don't get same day oath ceremony, will i have to wait for oath ceremony via mail or will they just let me know right then and there when i will have my oath ceremony?

Moving out at the 31st, move into new place at the 1st and the interview at 7:45 am in January 7th. Not really sure i should file an AR-11. If I don't get same-day oath ceremony, i can file it after my interview notice.

Are you staying within the same District Office or same Service Center meaning are you moving out of state ?

I would wait a bit. It says 10 days after you moved in to the new place. I would wait till after my interview and I wouldn't make stuff more compllicated than it is.

When I went for my Interview I told the IO about my Change of Address because she went over that with me in the Interview. I changed address almost a year prior to that but here is what I remember her telling me after I told her I sent the AR-11 in and made sure it was updated in the computer ... she said oh, I could of done that for you here. Maybe you want to mention the Address Change during the Interview. Since you are the same DO I don't forsee any problems.

when you go take the interview, do they give you the appointment for the oath ceremony right then and there if i don't get a same day oath ceremony?

File your AR11 within 10 days after you move.
Its the law, you dont want to knowingly delay the AR-11. Please file it.

I move at the 31st, i have my interview at the 7th, so if i file immediately after my interview, doesn't that mean, i'm not breaking the law?

You are still within 10 days and can let the immigration officer know at the time of your interview that you have moved and they will update your address on file.
