Change of address form - when to file

hi all,

i am in the process of moving next week and have filed the address forwarding with the US post office(USPS). should i file change of address after I move or now? what happens if i dont get the apt at the last moment? can i just cancel the post office forward request? what happens to any mail from the USCIS in the meantime?

pls help
 
You have a option to hold your mails at your post office for 15 days. Within fifteen days you can find apt and than forward your mails to new address. You can do that online at usps.com for a $1 charge. Also dont forget to update your address with USCIS. If in case you dont find apt within fifteen days than you can get a mail box for some amount with usps or any other company and forward your mails to that address.
Contact your post office for further information.
 
All persons with temporary status are supposed to inform the USCIS about address change. Once you move to the new address you may use the online AR-11 (Change of address) that will update your home address with all petitions pending with USCIS. It is always good to have mail forwarding service as a backup.

Why r u worried if u have attorney - He/she get all mails,I don't think u get anything directly from USCIS (during 485 process)
 
Address Change

I was moving on July 28th . I did the address change online on July 15th. As of today i hae received address change confirmation letters from USCIS for I765 & I131 and not for my I485 yet. I guess that would be soon.
