hi gurus,
we are filling AR-11 and have a question for you guys..? what should be written in the column

IF NOT A PERMANENT RESIDENT, MY STAY IN US EXPIRES ON - ?

for someone who was on F-1 and is now using EAD. Should this be the F-1 I-94 date or the validity of AP or something else ? As far as i think, one can stay in US till I-485 is pending? i am confused here..please help with your suggestions.

thanks.

I stated I-485 Pending

I stated I-485 Pending on my AR-11.
Also you need to send cahnge of address to INS Service center also. Refer to CSC website for more details.
I verified my address cahnge through an IIO in CSC.
Hope this helps

do i need to submit ar-11?

Before applying for 485, I changed my address couple of times. The address stated in the I-485 application is my latest address. I know the INS has this on file because I received my EAD at this address. Do I still need to submit the AR-11 form?

Yes. AR-11 is sent out to Dept Of Justice. I believe

Yes. AR-11 is sent out to Dept Of Justice, I believe. So you have to file it separately. Also send it by certified mail for proof.

how important is AR-11 filing

I am planning to change job and may be location accordingly so should I file AR-11 then or I can send the AR-11 now if it is time sensitive?

I have never filed AR-11 before, my initial stay was in MA, then I moved to CA

Rama:confused:

My Lawyer told me, no need to send AR 11

I am in same boat; applied for I-485 and am still at the same address but my lawyer told me that as long as I am in my current address, from which I-485 was applied for, I do not need to send the address change form AR 11
