Hello can anybody answer this questions.

I have filed my I-485 and my recpt. date is july, 16, 2001. I got my AP and EAD.This was done when I was in Miami,Now I am in NJ, got a new Job. I just moved here 2 months back.Still waiting for my finger printing.Currently at my old address in Miami, my friend is staying and he is taking care of all my mails. He will be there until june, 2002.

Now I have this questions based upon above situation.

1.
I have been reading on discussion forum as well as I spoke to my friend, that it is a good idea not to notify INS about the change of address until you finish the FP. If I notify the change of address without finishing FP, there is a chance that
my finger printing will be delayed. Is it advisable not to notify or should I notify my lawyer about change of address ?

2. How much time it takes to finish the FP from the recpt. of EAD card or from the recpt. date?

3. My Current EAD is expiring in Sept. 2002, when should I inform my lawyer to renew it ? and how much time it takes to get the new EAD card ?

4. If my EAD card is expired and I have applied for the new EAD card, and I have Expired H1, what will be my status ?

Please guide me.

Thanks
PP

New INS regulations require that you file a change of address

vide form AR-11 and followup with INS within 10 days of moving.
INS is strict about this now!
Preferably mail the form using certified mail and retain the receipt!
