Change of Address and Pending Applications.

I moved to a new apartment. I didn't know about the AR-11.

Anyway, I have sent the form to USCIS and also changed the address on-line. But as I understand this doesn’t change the address on the pending applications. I assume that I will have to wait for the receipt number before I can call and make the required changes. Correct?

I have changed the address on USPS website before I moved to new apartment. Also, I have heard that USPS will NOT forward mails which are from USCIS? Is it a true statement? Anyone?

Of course, I have filed my papers through my company's lawyer - hopefully, he will receive the copies?

Again, I assume that the papers (FP notice, EAD etc) will come AFTER we receive the receipt number - correct? I want to make sure that I don't want to miss out any mails.

Anyone can share their experience? or guide me what to do? (if I can do anything?)

Also, one more thing - I am still in Ohio. I was in Columbus, and now I have moved 1 mile west to a place called Westerville.

I had called up USCIS yesterday, and they told that I need to provide the receipt # (which I think will take time to receive) to change the address any of the pending applications.

USPS will not forward any USCIS mail

Yes. This is typical situation. USPS will not forward USCIS mails for sure. It will be sent back to USCIS, which is not a good sign. You better consult with your attorney OR take infopass and talk to IO.

Thanks,
Raj

In my case i filed the AR-11 with all the pending applicatin receiept numbers. I got confiramation of EAD application but not AP and AOS. And before getting the address change notification i got an email about my AOS that they has mailed the card. Now i m not sure where did they send the card, because i haven't get it yet.

Any comments on this situation?
