What happens if I change my address after applying for the I-140 and I-485? Do I need to notify the USCIS? Will this delay the process?

I have the same question. If so, will it be AR-11 or any other Change of Address form. I hears from someone that there is a separate "Change of Address" form other than AR-11. Can someone please tell what form is it and the link to the form.

AR11 is the form to be filled. Sometimes USCIS doesn't make the changes... soit is advised to call USCIS and notify them.

Address change

I applied my 140/485/EAD to VSC in Sep 2003. My 140 is still pending but I received my EAD. I live in NJ and work for a consulting company. I am moving to another contract in NC for 1 year.

I will send my AR-11 to both Kentucky and VSC.

I want to know whether my 140/485 case will be transferred from VSC to TSC. So for next year's EAD, should I approach TSC or VSC. Will there be any delays in my case? What are the other repurcussions?

Thanx in Advance

I just found out from my lawyer, that if I change my address after my I-140 and I-485 application has been filed, then all I need to do is fill out and send the AR-11 form to the USCIS. My lawyer said that my I-140 and I-485 approval will be sent to them directly, so I don't have to worry about the USCIS updating my address. But as dynobuoy suggested, it may be a good idea to call the USCIS to make sure that the address has been updated if the approvals will be mailed to you directly.

You need to inform CIS by calling customer service line (1-800-375-LATE). Although your attorney gets approval notice but you will get curtsy copies. FP notice will be sent to you and attorney will also get a copy.
In any case just call that number and inform them. Keep your A number and EAC number with you while calling. Some people have received the confirmation for change of address from CIS.

Thanks tammy2!
