Change nationality while waiting for AOS??

Hello:

My H1 has expired and I work in the US with a valid EAD and I travel with a valid AP. I am waiting for AOS approval.

I got an offer to take up a new nationality now. I am inclined to take it up, but I am worried about its consequences to the GC processing. I have to go to this new country to get the nationality, which involved my renouncing the current nationality. I'll be getting back to the US with a new passport.

1) Will there be problems in my entering the US with a new passport? My AP doesn't mention anything about my nationality; it just says my country of birth.

2) Will there be any problem with my approval process?

3) All my greencard applications so far have been submitted with my current nationality and passport number. Will I need to inform the INS/BCIS about my new nationality and passport when/is I get in?

Thanks a lot in advance for some speedy replies!

does your current nationality allow dual citizenship? If so you could use that route. If not you sould talk to an attorney. I feel that there shouldn't be any issues. If I may ask, what is your current nationality and which nationality you are palnning on taking?
