change jobs !485 pending

My I140 NIW is approved and I 485 is pending for 4 months. Is it safe to change jobs or should I wait for 6 months. I understand that as NIW is employer independent, one should be able to change jobs at any time during the pending I 485 period.

Congratulations! I believe, you had also filed in OR category. Whats the status of that one? When did you file your NIW? Was your 485 concurrent with NIW?

Changing job should be safe after 6-months.

Changing job should be safe after 6-months, especially for NIW. If you are called for an interview or you are issued a RFE for job(that may happen if your I-485 has not been approved after long time), it would be better if your new job is similar to your old job which was described in your 140. If no interview, no RFE, no need to consider job difference.
