Change in Update for AP (Travel Doc)

I applied for my AP renewal on 30th December. The message on the USCIS website reads as follows:

Application Type: I131, APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT

Current Status:

Your I131 APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT was received on December 30, 2005. We mailed you a receipt with information about processing. It is taking between 60 and 90 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete.

I checked the Update date...its changed to 01/19/2006 but the status is unchanged. a couple of days back the Update date was 01/07/2006. I do not know what's happening. My current AP has expired and I need to go to India ASAP. How much more time before the approval etc ? Should I travel without one?

The AP was filed at TSC.

Whatever you do - do not travel without travel document of some kind.
You will get yourself into great deal of trouble (in worst case they wont' let you into the US and will forfeit your adjustment of status application).
