I currently work as a Manager, and a Director position has opened up in my company. I am on H1-B, with 485 pending since May 2006 and 140 approved since August 2006. My question is:
1. Can I apply for the Director position without having to worry about AC-21 or any other paperwork? Would it be a problem even though this position is in the same company with the sam group and in the same office building?
2. If the senior management decides to promote me to the Director's position, is it a problem then?
