Change in online-status message ??

Hi :
The online systme used to report the 975-999 days stuff
for my application.

This week it changed to 160-180 days.
I have n't got any FP notice or anything else from INS.

Any idea what this new message means :

Your I485 APPLICATION TO ADJUST TO PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS was received on October 09, 2002. We mailed you a receipt with information about processing. It is taking between 160 and 180 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete

You probably mean under estimated! :)

But yeah it will take atleast 12 months for approval, but based upon current trends, processing has slowed down quite a bit and might take significantly longer.

How much longer? That is an open question! :)
