NIW I140/I 485 filed in Nov 2002. I 140 approved Aug 2003. (Non J-1). Application has been inactive since fingerprinting in Dec 2004.
LUD chaged 05/04. This may be in relation to generation of letter at 2 year anniversary. I cannot think of any other reason.
Any ideas?????
Do everybody get finerprinted with NIW (physician) application, so many years in advance??

> Any ideas?????

LUD's at times change without any apparent reasons at all. There seems to be a 'bot' going around creating LUD's without anything happening.
(Just received an I140 approval today, there was no LUD change since the day they acknowledged the receipt. In a prior I140, there where LUD changes every couple of weeks, at times accompanied by cryptic status changes.)

You have to realize that the online system is NOT linked to the USCIS computer. They have a couple of hundred brain amputated contractor monkeys who get little paper slips from the CIS officers telling them to update the online status system.

Congratulations Hadron, on your I 140 approval. Was it LC based?? Are you going to try interfilling???

> Was it LC based?? Are you going to try interfilling??

Yes, it is LC based (a LC that took all but 5 weeks I might add). It is all a bit complex, but there is already a pending I485 with an approved I140 that this I140 got hooked up to.

And no, I wasn't kidding about how they update the online system. Did you know that all the AR-11s you are supposed to file don't even go to USCIS ? The AR-11 system is again, completely separate from the decrepit 70s era USCIS computer system. Your address change with the AR-11 doesn't migrate into the USCIS computer (if you call the customer non-service center and change your address, it doesn't migrate into the AR-11 computer either, so if you changed your address by calling and don't send an AR-11 you are violating the law).

The official way how the address on your file is changed is a 'Post It' stapled to the inside of the file jacket (no, I am not kidding. I saw the actual physical file during an inquiry at the processing center).

I believe you Hadron.
My comment "good one " was regarding, brain-amputated contractor monkeys and USCIS employees are exactly that.
I hope you get GC very soon.

No LUD change even now but , I got AP/EAD few days ago!

NIW 5 yrs done, waiting after final submission.(3 weeks into it!!!!!!!!!!)
Good luck everyone

TSC and CSC regularly have LUD changes when a file is touched, however I believe VSC and NSC rarely have LUD changes.

Actually, the USCIS folks are just your average IQ goverment employees. The same kind you will find in the administrative ranks of the postal service or in law enforcement.
The contractor monkeys are these minimum wage dimwits that the contractor running the call center hires. To be fair, they don't have any more information than the CIS websites could give you, but talking to them is a bit like dealing with a 'developmentally challenged' person.

I-485 Approved twice !!!!

My NIW based I-485 was approved 12/22/04 and got my plastic card in Jan 2005. Now I get emails from USCIS for me and my wife that our I-485 is approved (again) dated May 3 and May 11.
I called USCIS, and they said it is a mistake that they approved it again and asked me to call back if I received a second plastic card !!!

No wonder USCIS takes a long time to adjudicate I-485 after submission of evidence of completion of 5 yrs...... They keep adjudicating cases previously approved!!!!!

intmedoc, which center u made final submission?

when u find time can u update 'final submission tracker' please
thanks
