Change in DO (San Antonio to Memphis)

Hello
I am married to a USC. waiting for NC to clear for the past 6 mos :(

Had to move on account of job.

I scheduled an infopass prior to move and discussed the case. They said that the new DO (Memphis) will decide if they want to transfer the case or ask San Antonio to complete it since they have been working on it.

Does anyone have any experience with moving DO's? (San Antonio to Memphis ?) if so can they share their experience?
