Change in Address - I140 EB2

Gurus,

This forum was very helpful for me and I need expert advice from you guys. I have filed by I140/485 (EB2 Category) from Vermont Service Centre in December 2003. My I140 is not yet cleared and I havent received FP notices either. Looking at the current processing times it appears to be a long wait for people who filed under EB2 category. Due to changes in the employment I might have to move to West Coast which is totally a different SErvice Center. My questions are


1. How does this address change effect my 140/485 processing time and what effect it would have on FP notices?
2. Will they transfer my file to CSC?
Apart from sending the AR11 is there any other document that needs to be sent to the Vermont Service Centre?
3. My wife is still on H4 and got her EAD approved. We are hesitating, whether or not to use her EAD bcuz of the I140 situation. I would appreciate if anyone can post their pros/cons/experience while working on EAD without I140 approval.
4. My current EAD/AP expires in April 2004. When is the right time to apply for renewal taking into consideration the holiday time in November and December.

2. No if you do not ask for it. But CSC has, in recent past, however, transferred cases TO other centers.
3. Wait, if you can, till 140 is done.
4. I belv it is 2005 for EAD. Apply in Dec.

As an extension to the above, I140/485 has been filed in Vermont Service Center because I work in New York and pay NY State Taxes. Is it legal if

I maintain a temporary residential address here but work in LA (and just pay California State Taxes). Does INS care about my work location and also where I pay my state taxes.

Change Of Address.

Hi All,

What is the best way to contact INS/ Service Centers about Change of Address on I-140 and I-485 applications. Should we call them about the
change of address or filing AR-11 enough? Can someone share the phone
number we should call about the address chnage? Thanks.
