My I-140 was filed by employer July 2003, and is still pending at this point. It was filed with AOS selection, and now after reading the posts on this forum, I think consular processing might be an attractive thing to do, since it could save lots of time to get the GC.
If I want to change to consular processing, what should I do to make this change? I know one can file form 824 after 140 approval, can one do this by just writing a letter to BCIS BEFORE 140 approval? Who should write the letter, employer or myself?
Any advice it appreciated.
