change employer: work from home status to work at site

My case may be weird: My employer filed LC and I-140; then I moved to another state, working from home for the same employer. Later, LC and I-140 approved. Then the employer's attorney filed a new LC based on the new location; unfortunately, it was denied. Early this year I filed I-485 using the approved LC based on the previous location. My employer ask me to move back to the previous location after 180 days of filing I-485 because I-485 was filed based on that location. My question is: I do not want to move back to the previous location and want to stay at the current location. After 180 days of filing I-485, can I be safe to work for a new local employer, or I have to move back to the current employer's location to work, if that is the case, how long should I stay there. I need your advice how to proceed on this what options I have.... Thank you very much!
