Hi,

Just curious, how would USCIS know that a person changed the address after GC aproval.

My GC is approved, and i used to live with my sister(she owns house), now i moved to neighbor state, my brother is still there, no problem in collecting my mails. Do i have to file for AC-11, Or is it Ok. My wife's case is still penidng(because her case was follow-to-join). I was wondering if i making any mistake.

USCIS does not know when you change address. It is your responsibility as a foreigner to keep them informed by sending AR-11 or AR-11SR to them when you relocate. I believe you need to send those forms within 10 days of the move. Look at the uscis web site for details...

By law you have to file AR-11 within 10 days.

I don't think that USCIS have real-time on each aliens
but they can find out if they want to. A simple
credit check with Experian, Trans Union, or Equifax,ect
will know where you are.
 
By changing address of me andmy wife's, what are the chances of my wife's case(follow-to-join) transfered to local.

By the way, who updates address in credit report companies.

Did you tell your credit card company you moved?
 
I turend in AR-11 when I moved after I got my GC. I sent it in via UPS just to make sure I have proof that I sent it.
