change address, but wait for plastic card

Hi friends,

I have a question regarding to changing address.

I got my passport stamped in Jan, 2004. Now I am waiting for my plastic card. But I need to move next month.

I know I need to file AR-11 to BCIS after moving. But my questions are:

(1) I heard that plastic card is made locally, not in Nebraska, so the people who made the plastic won't know my new address.

(2) There will be "Not forward" something like that on the envelop of the plastic card, so the post office won't forward it to my new address.

What I can do to resolve this problem? Dose any one of your guys met this problem before?

Address Change Letter to LIN, NE

Along with Ar-11, you need to write to Lincoln Neberaska, with both your addresses. I just got stamped today at Chicago and the officer told me this.

This is great information. When you say along with AR11, you mean a separate letter to LIN Nebraska?

Does the letter need to be in any special format?

Since your case is pending in INS, so along with AR-11, also call INS directly and update your new address. INS will mail you a address change confirmation. Phone no is 1-800-375-5283.

For those whose case got approved and waiting for plastic card, they need to update address by postal mail.
