I have a question regarding changing address and filing N-400 form.
I used to work in Maryland, and few months ago (> 6 mo), I changed employment and moved to California alone (staying in a temporary housing). Since my family still lives in Maryland, my contact address (as permanent address) is kept in Maryland.
Now I am going to file for naturalization (N-400 form). So my question will be where to file, California or Maryland?
Since I do not make change of address (using AR-11 form) within 10 days after moving to CA, can I file application (N-400 form) as well as AR-11 form at the same time to to California center?
I heard the California as shorter processing time for naturalization than Maryland. But my understanding is one will have to wait 3 months after establishing residence in the new state / district before one can expect anything to happen. Will I get trouble?
Or I can file it as Maryland residence (without changing address)?
Your help is appreciated.
