Chances of Priority Dates becoming current

My LC has been approved in the PERM process and I-140 is pending with the current company (Oct - 2007 priority date). I have used up 3.5 years of my H1B time. I still have 2.5 years left. I got an excellent offer from a different company. It's very tempting but I am worried about the GC process being halted if I make a move. I know that I will have to start all over again.

The only question that's stopping me from making a decision is "How soon will the Priority dates become current again?". Does any one have any idea how fast things will progress in the next year or so. If the chances of priority dates becoming current are very slim in the next 1 year then I might as well make a move. If things become current in the next 6 months or so....making a move will be stupid on my part.

Can anyone kindly give me a direction on this (How fast I-140 be processed and how soon priority dates might become current again).......And advise on changing the company now.

What is your priority date? The worst case would be for EB3 India. I don't think, EB2 India becoming current in near future.

I have applied under EB2 INDIA. When I check the VISA Bulletins for the past few months things are moving ahead. Is there any chance that it might become current or reach 2007 this year?

You can't be serious

Dear Sir/Madam, you must be joking. This is not funny. You really expect 10/07 to be current anytime soon? lol

Please go ahead & accept new offer. 10/07 will be current by 1010 realistically.

Good Luck!

Funny things have happened with USCIS.

But in your (senses1980) case, since you are only 6 months into the process, and the new job offer is so good, you should seriously consider taking it. (If I was in your shoes, I would take it if it is an excellent offer as you say it is.)
But do talk to the new company to ensure that they will start the GC process right away. (some companies want to wait an year to verify the performance of the employee before starting the expensive GC process)

Also consider the viability of getting the GC with the new company. How is the company reputation? Has there been any layoffs at that company recently? How is their financial condition? etc etc etc
