Chance to Get on Name Check

I recently got Interview letter on end of November and i am planning to travel overseas in first week of December so i want to buy ticket. I am just wondering whether i have chance to get into Name check :

Does Name check for those people who have very common name? or it that by Nationality?

Then what is the reason to get into FBI Name check? undefinedundefined

If you have advance parole, then you're fine.
Also, if your current visa is H or L, you're fine as well.
If neither of the above applies, then you probably wouldn't be able to leave the US, should your namecheck not clear.

When will the USCIS begin namecheck?

I just had my Greencard interview Friday and I am now pending name check
The IO told me the name check could be cleared in a day or it could take 6-9 months or more they dont know...I wouldnt travel while this is pending unless you have a advance parole. Good Luck on your interview and hopefully you will be on e of the lucky ones that dont get stuck in name check

There is no way to answer this.
More than 80/85% of the cases get cleared within 2 weeks. What are this 85%? Who knows!
Anyways, in August I scheduled an infopass at my DO to find out about this to schedule my traveling (I had a H1B but I might have used my EAD to get another job).
The officer told me it was already cleared. That put me in peace of mind.
I suggest you to do the same. Schedule an infopass and ask if your namecheck has cleared.

Why don't you schedule an infopass before thanksgiving and ask them if your namecheck cleared? It's worth a try.
