Hi
I became a US citizen in 2015 and I got the US passport for my daughter that time and we went to out of USA. last year when we were out US we applied for my daughter's certificate of citizenship through n600k and now I got a letter stating it was denied due to not physically present In USA. she is still out of USA with a US passport my question is, is this going to effect her us passport or citizenship
And we dont have any idea to move to US soon.If we move here can we apply for her again?she's 8 years old now.
Thanks
Your advices highly appreciated

If passport was deemed to be issued in Error. I guess you can say " yes" it can affect her citizenship.
How could it be? She was in US in my physical custody with a valid green card and me and my wife took her to the passport office and they issued the passport. How you someone can say this passport issued in error?

There was a discussion/debate about this very possibility in the previous thread referred to above in post #2. I suggest you go back and read that again.
Technically if your daughter did not actually take up residence in the US then the conditions were not met. You are not going to make any progress arguing about it on an internet forum, if I were you I would contact USCIS to find out her actual status. Then you will see if her passport is ok to prove citizenship, or if you need to go through the sponsorship process again (if you do, then this time make sure you actually live in the US at least for a while - or get a lawyer). Re-sponsoring may be cheaper than a lawyer if USCIS tells you she isn't actually a citizen. But I don't think anyone here can answer definitively, you need to find out what her official status is.

One issue might be OP not living in the US. Not sure why he got the green card or Naturalized if he or his wife do not intend to make the US their home.

This doesn't make sense. In order to have gotten a US passport, she must have already been a US citizen. (Perhaps she automatically became a US citizen under INA 320 by being a permanent resident under 18 living in the US with a US citizen parent.)

N-600K is for children who are not already US citizens to apply for naturalization through the INA 322 process, where they enter the US as a foreigner to take the oath. This clearly does not apply to your daughter, who is already a US citizen.

She can apply for a Certificate of Citizenship by filing N-600, which is for people who are already US citizens. Though I am not sure why you would want to fork out $1170 to apply for this when it doesn't really serve much purpose that a US passport does not already serve as.

Thank you very much for your clear clarification. Now I know I did a mistake.all I want to know is, Is this denial effect her us citizenship status?
Thanks again

OP After reading your old post. It seems as though your daughter is a USC. You seem to be caught in that gray area. As in you cannot file N600 from abroad to get a COC. Passports expire, if my math is right your daughter's passport should expire in 2020. Whilst a COC has no expiration date. Just keep up to date with her passport.

Only when you decide to move back to the US, you or her if 18 by then can get her a COC.

Hi.My son arrived in the United States before he was 18 years old. Now it's 18.6 months. Can I apply for naturalization with the N-600

Hi.
We applied but they refused me. I am attaching a file. I am asking for the N-600 form. Because it come in before I turned 18. I don't know what to do now. Did we miss the deadline? Can I advise. How to proceed now?
Thanks!

They are saying you did not provide proof that you were in the legal and physical custody of your US citizen father when you entered. Obviously you were there physically, but you need to show proof that your father also had legal custody of you as per one of the N600 requirements. They say according to the divorce agreement your non-USC mother was the one with custody.
