CBP officer asking for more info

Hi everyone

Yesterday (Friday) I drove to the rainbow bridge to apply for my TN.
The officer that a spoke to said that the person that is the TN specialist was away but he would take a look at my application.
I wasn’t denied but he did say that I needed come back with some more information.

I was applying under the graphic design section, but the company in the US offering the job is an audio visual staging company.
They provide all the gear, technical staff and people like me to create content (graphics for print and video)

The officer said that he thought that I should only be doing “ graphic design things”
Basically he was saying that I should only be ‘creating logos and artwork for things like napkins.’ He admitted that he really didn’t understand what it is that I do. He wasn’t being rude at all, he just didn’t get it

So, he said I should come back with more info in my offer letter, stating my day to day job duties. He also said that I could apply at the rainbow bridge, peace bridge or Windsor-Detroit bridge.

I’ve gotten the letter re-written to include more info in the day to day duties. But I’m not sure which POE to go to.

I’m currently in Chicago visiting some friends until tomorrow so it would be easier to go to Detroit and apply there on Monday. (I’d cross back into Canada and tomorrow and stay in a hotel for the night. Then cross over again on Monday morning)

Can anyone give me some advice if this is a good idea?

Thanks

Specific Port of Entry should not matter. It is the strength of the TN petition that matters. (details of job duties, education, etc).
Entering the POE during week day, during standard business hours, is recommended. If given a difficult time, ask to speak to supervisor.

FWIW I'd return to the same POE as the original rejection.
Any other POE, the agent may see your recent rejection, and could assume you are port-shopping.
