I filed my naturalization papers ten days ago (N-400). The online USCIS Guide (http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/services/natz/English.pdf) on page 59 gives Form M-479: Current Naturalization Fees. Amount quoted is $320 + $70 = $390. My application was returned today from the Texas Service Center with a note that the total fee is now $330 + $70 = $400 and a request that I file again with the correct amount. So much for the USCIS site being current. My naiveté I guess !!!!!

If you read the instructions for the N400 application, it states on pg.2 that the fee is $400.

If you looked here:

http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/index.htm

you would have seen the correct fee for the N-400. The $70 biometric fee is extra.
