My friend is planning to transfer his case (I-485) to Arlington,VA local office from Newark, NJ as he needs to move. Just trying to get some feedback about this office (in terms of speed in handling cases etc)in comparison with Newark, NJ. Anyone having info please share.

Arlington is worse when compared to newark. I would advice not to move the case to arlington if there is a possibility to keep the case in newark.

But the interview is not yet scheduled right. They said sometime in Dec or early jan'05. So totally it will take 4 months assuming they call me for interview before 23rd January 05 because the transfer date for our case is september 23rd 2004.
But i have seen cases in Newark who are called for interview within 2 months time too. But i never saw such thing happening in Arlington.
Also i would say if things happen for me as i mentioned above thats miraculous. But usually Arlington is taking about 6-10 months to schedule the interview.
