Case Verification

I'm currently working here in Florida and my employer told me that my case (PERM application) has been filed to US DOL last 14DEC06 and gave me the case number thus I just need to wait for their reply more or less 3-5yrs. My questions are:

1. How can I verify whether that this case nbr is legitimate or not?
2. Is there any website where I can get or print a copy of my case? (even if its still pending).
3. And lastly, is it really true that I need to wait for 3-5yrs as the processing time? :eek:

Ask for a screenshot of your pending case from the employer or attorney.
The majority of PERM cases (at least from my firm's experience) are approved between 24 hours and 6 months. Maybe the employer meant the entire process would take 3 - 5 years? Hopefully not just the PERM case... because that would be absolutely insane.
