Case tranfer from local to NSC

Hope to see if any one has experienced like us before.

Here are the case details.

My 485 was filed in Aug 03 and FP in 5/04, during 03/05, they transfered my case to San antonio, Tx where I do not live now. Thru my lawyer I request for a transfter to my current local office. Now yesterday there was a status change saying that on June 1 2005 they received my case and it is taking 570 to ... days to process this type of case and etc.

1. Will it be treated like it was filed only now or do they consider my previous filing date. Does my ND/RD changes now? Am I going to wait for 2 years from now for approval

It appears that they will treat your case as a new filing. I heard that if you request a transfer as opposed to they transfer the case you will reset the clock. My lawyer specifically advised me not to request transfer when I moved. I might be wrong though.
