Case Transferred to Washington DC - why?

I got a generic message that my case was transfered to the Wash DC local office. I don't even live there. I am in the Midwest any ideas?

Background: My case was originally filed in Vermont - my employer's HQ is there. VSC transferred it to NSC to scheduled an interview and now after waiting for 12 months w/ NSC, NSC transfered it to DC!

Any advice or experience in this type of a situation?

if you don't live in DC, it could have been transferred there in error, or your online status is just wrong. Wait until you or your lawyer get the paper transfer notice (in about a month) to be sure.
