I had mentioned earlier,I had gotten an email on Aug 22, that mine and my wife's case has been transferred to Dover AFB and also the automated system to check the status of the
application says that my case has been transferred to Dover Air force base
in Delaware but I have not received any notices yet.
After moving recently I had filed the AR-11 and called USCIS to update the address on the pending
I485 application - the agent said she could not update the application as it
has been transferred to Dover AFB and she connected me to a military officer. The military officer said, he has no knowledge of my I485 application and does not see it on his system and since I am a civilian, my application cannot be sent to a military base.
My wife called USCIS a few days later and now the agent said that our
application has moved to Philadelphia. She still couldn't update the address
but said she would send a letter asking us to make an appointment at Newark, NJ and transfer the case to the NJ office.
We received the letter on Saturday but it
says the case has been transferred to Nebraska!!
1. Also I would like to add that our new address is in Mercer county , NJ which potentially means our case should be going to Cherry Hill - is this correct?
In any case,we called USCIS today saying we had no notices about our case being transferred to local office and the agent said she cannot issue duplicate notices, and said both my and my wife's case are in Philadelphia. On telling her that the letter says, it has been transferred to Nebraska, she could not explain it but said her system could be wrong. She asked to make an infopass appointment with the Philadelphia office
At this point I am very confused. What shoulld my course of action be? I
want to do two things: get my case to the correct office and update my
address. Should I make an appointment? If so, which office should I make the
appointment with - Philadelphia, PA or Newark, NJ or Cherry Hill, NJ -
united nations/experts please advise next course of action?
Thanks!
