My 485 Case has been transferred to Local INS. I filed my 485 in TSC Apr'02. Later I changed my job using ht AC-21 provision to another job (on W2) to Tucson, AZ.

I provided the change of address but didn't inform INS about the change of employement.

I also applied for second AP on (ND March'18 2003) with TSC and they have approved that on the same day my case got transferred.

2002 - April Filed my 485 as I was living in Texas
2002 - Sep. Got laid off
2002 - October (on 171st) day accepted another job in Tucson,AZ and moved.
2002 - November : Filed change of address with TSC
2003 - Feb Applied 2nd EAD and received it (May).
2003 - Mar Applied 2nd AP and appoved on Sep 22 (yet to receive in hand)
2003 Sep Case transferred to Local INS.
I am nervous because

- I changed my job prior to 180 days
- My 140 didn't go straight forward
- Also worried that I need to stay in Tucson until the interview with local INS.

Any thoughts, please help.

cross your fingers

take all documents they required and dont say anything on the day factor. did your old employer intimate them?

No. My old employer didnot do any thing

No. My old employer took it easy.

I will update when I get the formal transfer letter.

Where did you learn that your case has been transferred to Local INS? Just prepare your case very well and I even suggest talk to some experienced immigration lawyer. It may cost some, but you never know what might come to your help. With the kind of things going on right now, you don't want to talk any chance. We appreciate if you keep posted.

Good Luck!

I remember your posts on the MSN forum of last yr when you moved to Tuscon.

I hope everything goes well for you.
Transfer to local INS does not mean interview necessarily.
Sorry for ignorance, AZ is in TSC or in NSC area?

And when you filed for AR-11, it asks for your current employer.
Won't that deemed as informing BCIS abt change of employment?

By the way, Do you have a attorney representing you? If so what is their advice?
I too got a new job, after my layoff ( passed 180 days though),
have moved to VSC area and filed for AR-11.
My attorney told me since there is no clear rule I need not inform BCIS abt change of emplyment. He said, in case of RFE or any other, they would inform BCIS abt change of employment then.
All the best and keep us posted.
