Hi Folks,

My case was transferred to Chicago from VSC on July 16th. Use to live in NJ and few months back moved to Chicago. Notified VSC with the change of address. On July 11th, RFE(employment letter) was received by VSC. Within 5 days they moved the case to Chicago.

On what basis will they move the case to the local office. Could be change of address, I don\'t know. Generally how many days will it take to get the interview call after the transfer.

Does anyone has interviwed at Chicago. Please post the details. It will help me a lot.

Thanks

We used to live in NJ and moved to Chicago as well. Case was not transferred. We changed the address within a month from I-485 filing. Is your employer in Chicago or NJ.

good luck!

Kris,

Yes , I\'m a consultant. We also have a office in Philadelphia, PA. Mine is the first case in the office which got transferred to Chicago.
This is so frustating after such a long wait.

Generally after how many days will they send the interview letter.
Two years back salaries were slashed through out the company. So my W2 dollar amount is less than the salary in the employment letter. Will it create any problem. Please shed some light.

Thanks

Kris Sarman or someother Gurus, you seem to be quite knowledgable with 485 issues. What are yr details ND, RD, etc.
My 485 details are RD 7/06/00, ND 7/18/00, Country Other (Pakistan, No RFE. Still waiting. Called IIO on 6/15/01. I was told that the case is assigned to an officer and is being reviewed. Was advised to wait for 45 to 60 days. I have seen lots of other approvals around same date as mine. Could you share few things as to what takes some cases so long before they are approved. Are there any approval hiearchies? I know this one is tough to answer. I see cases from Sept,99 are being approved now. Thanx in advance!

Hey Venkat99,
Sorry to hear that man... I guess this is not, what you wanted to hear, after such a long ordeal.
But how did you learn about this transfer ? Did you speak to an IIO?
Did the AVM message change indicating the transfer ?

Hi rpramod,

If you are with them, you must be aware of the GC hurdles and keeping it live. I don\'t want to be more specific on public forum. If you are with them, best thing is get the direct contact with the lawyer
