USCIS transferred me and my wife's cases to Boston MA from TSC. This is the case history:

RD/ND: 26th Feb'2002

Moved from Atlanta to Boston, never changed the employer.

FP(BOTH): March'03 did in Boston

Category: EB3

NO RFE.

Last status before update:
1. For me(primary): 990-999 days crap
2. For wife(FTJ): FP recd and processing has resumed.

Current status updated for both:

On April 26, 2004, we transferred your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status to an office in BOSTON, MA for processing. That office has jurisdiction over the case. They will send you a written decision as soon as processing is complete. You should receive a notice informing you that your case has been transferred to a local office. Please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283 to receive information about local office processing times.

Good thing:TSC processed both the case together. So hopefully no problem later on, that one of will be DONE faster.

Next Step:
I will wait for Boston, MA office to contact me and hopefully there will not be any interview.

Question:

1. Will there be any interview? If yes, what are the docs I need? Anything else?

2. Boston, MA is processing 8/03 cases, so would I be waiting until they reach 04//04 or will they be processing my case based on my rd/nd?

Please share your experience.

Thanks

That's sad as I am in the same situation:
- Feb 02
- moved from NYC to Chicago
- never changed the employer
- no RFE
I haven't been transferred yet but my laywer keeps saying that there are no grounds for it, but as I can see it may not be true.
According to my laywer if I do get transferred to Chicago local office I will be interviewed and the interview schedule will be based on the FIFO approach, meaning that I will have to wait till everything that they have received before is set and done.

thanks udacha6.

what do you mean when you say
"
I will have to wait till everything that they have received before is set and done.
"

Does that mean they will process all the cases or does that mean they will wait until TSC provides everything to Boston and then they will schedule interview?

Thanks

I am sorry for not being clear.
What my lawyer meant was that I would have to wait till all the cases that had been transferred before mine are processed. In Chicago it currently takes around 6 months to schedule an interview, 3 more month to conduct it and 3 more to get adjudicated.
As far as I know Chicago is the most overloaded office in the country (the elusive MSC is located there as well) so the dates in Boston may be more favorable.

Is your case transferred to Chicago local office or Missouri Service Center. Did your case get updated online?
