Case Transfered to Seattle

I just received an email message from USCIS informing me that our cases were transfered to the Seattle office. Any idea how long it takes Seattle to make a decision these days? Does anyone know if this means that our name check was cleared? Any idea if this is good or bad indication?

Another question, does anyone know if the Receipt Date as far as the local office is concerned is the same as the day Nebraska received my application? or is it the date my file got transfered to the local office?

Hi Mr. Green: I don't know anything about transfering to local office but just want to say at least you heard something and your case is "moving".
I don't hold any hope after seeing the processing date moved back to 2004!

I checked and Seattle is currently processing cases with receipt date May 13th 2005. I guess this means I will be waiting for 7 more months before I hear anything! Do you call this moving? hahaha I've been moving since July 2002 :D

I am not sure if retrogression has any affect. Below are my expectations and data:

EB3 Worldwide
Labor Approved: 02/03
RD 140/1485 May 06, 2004
I140 AD: 09/01/05
I485: Transferred to local office Saint Paul, MN 08/01/05

No decision yet. No interview notice yet either. I believe you have to go through interview once cases go to the local office. Saint Paul is now processing Feb 2005 RD cases. My attorney did an inquiry as my RD is long before Fb 2005 in October 05, and still no news. I have stopped waiting as the interview will not help much until the Visa numbers are available for my category.

In the meantime, keeping the EAD up to date is the highest priority
in my book. Your case might be totally different as you are EB2.

It could be that your local office considers your RD 8/1/05 and not 5/6/04!

I wonder if that's the case! Good luck!
 
Our interview is set for 3/8/06. I really hope worldwide EB2 doesn't get hit with the retrogression in March. I also hope that our name checks are cleared by March 8th! I was told two weeks ago that my security checks are not cleared yet :(

Any pointers for the interview are appreciated! :D
