was your wife derivative, or approved simultaneously as you ?

Did she ever mentioned in her application that she supported a Rebellious organization or conduct activities that seemed to harbour terrorism ?

I think that's only a technicality they want to clarify in her statement.

best luck.

Sukhipatiala:

Sometimes cases are sent back to regional offices to finalize the process. The day of your enterview, make sure you take with you everything and my guess is that you will be approve there and then.
They will stamp your passport and then your GC will be sent by mail.
The strange part here is that you say that it was trensfer to the asylum office and not the USCIS reginal office in SF.

I hope is what I said. Don't panic and don't worry.

Good luck,
Elsa

I agree with what Elsa said. I think they do send your file where your asylum case started. in my case, they send me a letter to appear for interview at SJ office. before I went I had the same worries as you. but they did not ask me anything. The officer ask me, my name and my information regarding where I stay and if my situation is the same. that was it. Then they transfer my case back to TX and I got my green card two weeks after they send my case to the TX office. So like elsa said don't panic. it is going to be alright

thanks for great response

thanks dudes
my worry is that why it is taking so long it is almost a year that we did'nt hear from sanfrancisco asylum office .i wrote them two letters but still no response .thanks for the encouragement

Why don't you try infopass instead of writting letters. Go personally and expose your case to an Immigration Official.

Hey Sukhi

Its same with my wife's case man. Her case has also been transfered to a totally un-related asylum office even after her interview at our local office. We have come to know about this happening once we made an infopass appointment only. We never received any case transfer letter, nothing else, even her LUD didnt change. Immigration official (at infopass appointment) had no knowledge other than this ....

Did you get any news in your case afterwards ?

well..this time you need to hire a lawyer not because your wife case seem complicated but to solve the case for good...I mean if you need to submit a waiver or for future delay you attorney know who to contact ...with legal representation you find your case on good hand...just do it that way for peace of mind so you can move on in your life.
Good luck.

Interview? Did you get interview for your GC?
