Hello Everyboday,
My case was in the Nebraska & my ND is 05/01/2002. I came to florida for job since last one & half year. I changed my address & everything. Today my online massage got change....It says

On January 21, 2004, we transferred your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status to an office in VERMONT SERVICE CENTER for processing. Our office in VERMONT SERVICE CENTER will send you a written decision as soon as processing is complete. You should receive a notice informing you that your case has been transferred to a local office. Please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283 to receive information about local office processing times.

You should receive a notice informing you that your case has been transferred to a local office. (I am not sure which local office, I am in Florida)

Why this is transferd? Any Idea? What to do?

Thanks
Kaa

Here is what I think...

I think the phrase, "local office" signifies Vermont Service Center. You will most likely receive a written notice from Vermont Service Center, confirming the transfer of the case file.

If, let's say, the transfer was to a local office, it should have said something like "Miami" or something.

In any case, I think this is just a matter of change in Service Center rather than a transfer from Service Center to the local office.

This is just my take on your situation...

This is indeed crazy

I also moved from NSC to Texas service center area. If they decide to transfer my case to TSC, am royally screwed, given the processing times in TSC.

God help.
