Hello

I am not sure if there is any thread to track case trasfers to
LA (Los Angeles) office.

If your case has been transfered to any of the LA and it's
nearby local offices, please post your case details and
the time it took to get an interview letter.

Thanks

case transfered to LA from NSC

RD 08/07/2001
ND 09/18/2001
TD 09/06/2002
nothing since then!

Our 485 applications were transferred to Sacramento office on 18th Nov from VSC. Also our ead applications were transferred to LA Office from CSC on Aug 26th 2002 and haven't heard anything. I tried calling LA office and they said I have to be in person to get any info regarding my application and we live close to sacramento 450 miles away from LA. First thing I don't understand is why my ead applications were tranferred to LA instead of sacramento.

Hello Jiyu

Do you know what caused your file to be trasferred to LA office?

Did you file for "Change of Address" form? OR used AC21 to
accept the new job near LA?

Did you and your lawyer get the letter from NSC regarding file transfer?

Thanks

we don't know

we don't know why they transfered our case to LA. We live in Chicago!! Never changed job and address. Married in 1997, far longer than the six months. The only relationship with LA is that our attorney located there. Our attorney went to the LA office to inquire the info related to our case. But never get response!! We are burning to wait and to know what's going on. I saw some thread related to transfered cases at SFO or SF, but never seen one at LA, any info will be highly appreciated!

Hello Jiyu

Your case is very strange. I think your lawyer (and you) should
aggressively follow up on this one.

There is no reason why your file should be transferred to LA.
You are based in Chicago and your address is also not changed.

Btw, is your sponsoring company located near LA? Do you know
what does it mention as a job location on your ETA forms (labor
condition form)?

Do not sit idle. Try out all means to find out what's going on?
Contacting congressman is one option too.

As I said earlier our EAD applications wer transferred to LA though we live close to Sacramento. No clue what INS does.

I'm just curious though on how INS inform you on changes or tranfer to the local INS.There seems to be a pattern lately on dispersing in the name of decentralization this whole backlog of processing which in the end might take even longer in the local INS.Is the information changes at the AVM or is there a notice that says the application has been tranfer.

It will be updated on AVM and the lawyer or/and applicant will also receive the transfer letter

my case has been transfer to L.A.

my case has been transfer to L.A.

doeas any one knows what is the inquiry process?
