Case Transfer from VSC to Other Service Centers

I heard that there are certain cases when the 140/485 cases filed in one Service center are transferred to another Service Center.

I had filed from VSC in August 2003 and received my EAD recently. I am moving to Seattle, WA. I had sent the change of address(AR-11) to VSC and also informed the 800 Number. Some friends are saying that my case will be transferred from VSC to NSC. Is it True? If so, what are its implications?

I would suggest to ask this question in I485 forum (Both VSC & NSC) as they will give better response.

If you file 140-485 concurrently then you need to submit all the papers to service center that has jurisdiction over job/company location. Personally I don't think they will move your case around if you decide to move because job location is still going to fall under same service center. That use to happen before when concurrent filing of 140/485 was not allowed.

Bur you never know, USCIS has its own standards and way of working and that changes from time to time.
