case transfer confusion.........

hi ,anybody in the same boat.?My case is employment based (Labor cert.approved in 2003,I-140 approved sept.2004,then filled for I -485.......on 10.14.2004..in Vermont.Then on March 31.2004 my case was transfered to Newarc(I-485)(i resieved a notice from USCIS)...after waiting 8 months for Scheduling a interview i made a infopass to check a status on my case.I made it in Cherry Hill,because im living in Atlantic county,NJ.The immigration officer told me that my case is in Philadelphia????!!!???? and she asked me 2 times did i moved,and why my case is in Philadelphia????How can i know???she told me that she is gonna request my file from there....and thats gonna take from 6 to 8 weeks :( and then......???????I dont know i am so confused and angry....... :mad: do you anybody have same expirience?????Whats next.....some timing line............some advice.........thanks in advanse to share your opinons..!!!!

My I-485 was filed in March 2003 with Vermont Service Center on the basis of employment. In October 2004 my file was transferred to Washington DC for them to schedule my interview. Now I just got new update that "On December 6, 2005, your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status was received here for processing. It is taking between 365 and 540 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete" I am not sure which office my file has been trasferred to and why. It was also written that if there is any question I can contact the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375 – 5283. I did call and got different answers from there. Once I was being told by a lady that since original filed date is March 2003 so I can expect to receive some thing in 30-60 days.

We are in the same situation too. In August we got an update to the online 485 status saying case was transferred to Delaware AFB. Ours was EB3 - employment based too. On calling BCIS seevral times , finally were told Delaware is a military facility and our case was in Philadelphia. We also got a letter from Newark saying this. Went to Cherry Hill ( as live in Mercer County) and requested case be transferred to Cherry Hill from Philadelphia. Have had 1 more followup infopass apmt after it , but no luck, being told Case is still in process of being transferred. We too never lived in Philly so confused why this happened. Pls lets keep track of each other's statuses ...

i went a couple times in cherry hill to check a status on my transfer from philly ,but no luck .the last time i went there it was middle february .by the way in cherry hill the officers are very root and not helpfull,im planning to go overthere mayby next week ,to check one more time ,i dont know if its gonna help ,but.....i am eb 3 world and PD 10 may 2001 i dont know im so confused and desperated its almost 1 year and 1 month since they transfer my application from Vermont to where ????? Philadelphia ,Cherry hill or >>?????????and still nothing no interview ,no moving in the VB....
 
Oddly enough, our AP's have been transferred to Phillly now.. just dont understand what is going on, plan to write to Senator and see if he can help.

hi i just got back from infopass in cherry hill,the case is still not there and is allready 6 months ,can you tell me please how can i contact the senator ,i think thats my last chanse ,i dont know whats going on too.thanks !

Count me too on the same boat.my case got transfered on 31st july 06 and still nothing happened?till then . so did anyones I485 trigger?
 
i went one more time to Cherry Hill office and for my big surprise they scedule me for interview on 10/11/2006!!!!!I ll keep you up to date !

can u tell me after how many days can one take an info pass?
 
you gotta check on the internet for avaiable dates ,my opinion is check with them every possible time ,i lost 1and 1/2 years untill they found where is my case ,just make sure your case is in the local office where it suppose to be .
