Case status update..what does this mean?

TSCMarch2003

Friends,
My lawyer had placed a status enquiry on my 140 on Sep 14th 2004.
Details of my case:

140 & 485 RD/ND: March 14th 2003. Both pending at this time.
FP: May 22nd 2003 (expired now ).

This was the fourth enquiry, so I got frustrated and contacted Senator mid Sep. On 9/29 and 9/30, I saw an LUD on my 140 alone(no LUD on 485) and today I got a letter that the pending status is
"Your petition is assigned to an adjudicating officer for review".

What does this mean? Anyone got this before? Will I get approved shortly or am I hoping for too much?

Please post your thoughts..Thanks,

I also got the same status

Hi,
My I-140 and I-485 ND date is 06/06/03 and I enquired through a senator and congressman they told me that my case is with a officer for review. So i don't know what this means.I am getting really frustrated and i am hoping they will approve both my I-140 and I-485 at the same time.

My FP is going to expire in 1 more month.I have sent fax to tsc to expedite but till now no reply.

Keep me posted about your changes in your case.

regards

Hi gclongdream,
Let us keep each other posted in this thread on any update regarding our cases..In my case FP expired long ago..I got response from senator's office saying they will re-schedule my FP shortly( can anyone define "shortly" in TSC terms?)

check with FBI for your name check status. It's usually because of the name check hasn't cleared that the officier cannot adjudicate.
