Does anyone know if there are any negative effects on our cases by registering for this service at the USCIS website?
 
Absolutely None, unless there is fraud! I think it is a positive step on the part of USCIS. I registered for it on April 19, and noted that my case was last updated on April 12, which suggested that they were probably working on it. The following week, I was informed by email that my case has been approved before my attorney even got the approval notice.
