Case Status Online not working for me

I am trying to access the status of a green card case online, but when i put in the receipt number, it says case not found. The receipt date was march 2002. Anyone else having this problem?

Also, I applied for a RTD and received a receipt number last week, and it says it will take 375 days to process this. Is this normal? Is there any way to speed it up? Last year i applied for a RTD and it took less than a month to receive it. Thanks.

did you put the LIN and the number. you have to also write LIN not just digits.

I put the LIN followed by the number. The receipt number i just received for my travel document works but the green card one i received a while back doesn't work. It used to work with the old INS phone number, but when I called the BCIS number, a person just echoes back the information i already know, namely i cant get any info online for that LIN number. if anyone else ever went through this problem, please let me know.
