Case Status online and local office transfer

one question,

case status will get updated for the local transfer cases after interview and stamping?

I don't think so. Once the case is transferrred papers never go back to Vermont center so vermont center AVM/online status may never be get updated any furthur....Although I am not sure , I may be incorrect
 
I guess, when INS send the approval letter after local office interview, they would have sent the order for the card it seems. Because, in the approval it says, you will be receiving your card in 6-8 months. etc.

Also, when I went for stamping after receiving the approval letter, i didn't fill up any form (because i did finger print and sign on I-89 on the interview day); Also I-94s were taken by the officer during the interview.

When I went for stamping today, they just stamp it on my passport at the entrance itself. That means, i don't have to go and wait etc.

I hope they already ordered for card. Since i doubt that, online status may not get updated for local transfer cases.

How long it took in your case to get the approval letter after interview in Newark?.
You don;t need any pictures for the plastic card?.

Anyone knows if the case is transfered to a local office, then what are the current processing date of that local office will be? Any way to see that interview dates?

Say I have filed my 485 from NJ and now located in chicago. If my case is transfered to chicago then what will be my interview date?

(The reason I am asking this is I dont wana my case to be transfered and if transfered then wana know for how long I have to wait to get my GC!!!!!)

Any light on it will be appriciated.
